Electrical Control Cabinet Fire Protection System
WHAT IS FM-200®?
FM-200®, gas, scientifically known as HFC-227ea, is formed from the elements carbon, fluorine and hydrogen (CF3CHFCF3-heptafluoropropane). HFC-227ea is an odorless, colourless, liquefied compressed gas. It is stored as a liquid and dispensed into the hazard as a colourless, electrically non-conductive vapor that is clear and does not obscure vision. It leaves no residue and has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces at design concentration.
FM-200® fire suppressant (HFC-227ea) does not displace oxygen can be safely used where people are present.
When used at standard design concentrations, it is safe for occupied spaces. FM-200™ leaves no residue. During fire suppression activities, it does not cause any chemical harm in case of exposure. It does not damage materials in the area being extinguished during intervention.

EXTINGUISHING METHOD - FM-200®, HFC-227ea
HFC-227ea extinguishes a fire primarily through Heat Absorption that occurs as the agent changes from a liquid to a vapor during discharge. In addition, HFC-227ea also disrupts the combustion reaction which aids in the extinguishment of a fire. It is important to note, HFC-227ea does not use the depletion of oxygen to extinguish a fire.
Why FM-200®, HFC-227ea?
For speed in suppressing fires, reducing damages, saving on floor space and allowing visibility, FM-200®, HFC-227ea is the clear choice.

FM-200 Suppression Systems
HFC-227ea (FM-200®) Clean Agent fire extinguishing systems are the most widely used of all the halocarbon gaseous agents, and one of the most effective systems in combating fires, quickly suppresses fires by removing heat and breaks up the fire at the molecular level, preventing damage to sensitive equipment.

Structure and Function
Advanced TFP offer Fire Extinguishing systems can be designed for use as a SINGLE-ZONE SYSTEM to protect a single protected area or in the form of a MULTI-ZONE SYSTEM to protect two or more areas.
In addition to the operating pressures of conventional clean agent fire extinguishing systems of 25 bar and 42 bar, Advanced TFP offer Clean Agent Fire Suppression System in unique ability to be pressurised to a 50 bar configuration, which offers some significant advantages. For example, they can be adapted individually and tailored specifically to the requirements of the protected area.
The regulations for fire extinguishing systems using clean agent require that the protected area be flooded within a maximum of 10 seconds. The 50 bar technology makes it possible to use longer and more complex piping than systems using lower operating pressures. This means that the extinguishing agent can also be stored outside the protected area.

Typical Single Zone Manifold System
The extinguishing agent is stored in liquid form in special cylinders, where a nitrogen cushion is superimposed over the extinguishing agent and thus generates the operating pressure of 25 or 42 or 50 bar. Typical manifold system for single area protection. For single area system, the solenoid actuator will act to open the master cylinder after getting the instruction from control panel, and then the gas from the master cylinder will open the slave cylinders.
